The Kitchen Table Award for best Omega-3 supplement goes to Biogenesis EPA/DHA.

If you can’t stand drinking fish oil, capsules of EPA/DHA are the next best thing! Shopping for a great fish oil product can be tough because quality is an issue. A quality fish oil has been independent laboratory tested to be free of dioxins, PCB’s, mercury, lead, and other pollutants found in our oceans.

I think this is a great price for a pharmaceutical grade fish oil. Be sure to always take fish oil with food for optimal digestion and absorption.

Benefits of EPA and DHA in fish oil:

  • Promotes a healthy cardiovascular system.
  • Inhibits platelet aggregation and promotes improved circulation.
  • Lowers serum triglycerides.
  • Aides in normalizing heart rhythm.
  • Suppresses cancer cell proliferation and promotes cancer cell apoptosis.
  • Suppresses cancer cell metastasis.
  • Important nutritional factor for normal neurodevelopment, visual acuity and behavior.
  • Encourages normal brain development and cognitive function.
  • Enhances a healthy balance of Dopamine and serotonin.
  • Low levels of EPA/DHA may be predictive of impulsive behavior.
  • Encourages normal insulin action.
  • Promotes normal glucose metabolism.
  • Reduces proinflammatory eicosanoids, cytokines, interleukin 1b, and tumor necrosis factor.

Chlorine Shower Filter: Anti-Aging

chlorinefreeshowerwater.jpg

A simple anti-aging trick is to use a shower water filter.

I cannot more highly recommend the use of shower water filters for reducing chlorine associated aging and accelerated damage to healthy cells.

Chlorine is a toxic gas that destroys the healthy cells in our bodies on contact.Historically, chlorine gas was used as part of chemical warfare!

It is now used in our water to kill pathogens that may make us sick, however a side product of drinking “healthy water” is premature aging of our cells, especially that of our skin and lungs.

Why to use a shower water filter:

  • Anti-aging
  • Softer, more radiant skin that requires less moisturizers as chlorine is VERY drying
  • Great for anyone with chronic skin conditions such as chronic itching, dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, and psoriasis
  • Stronger healthier, shinier hair, with less need to touch up your hair coloring
  • May reduce aging related hair loss
  • Less dandruff
  • Healthier lungs, a MUST for anyone with COPD, asthma, or other chronic respiratory ailments
  • Reduce the amount of toxins your babies and children are exposed to

Before you spend any more money on health products for the INSIDE of your body, think about what should be done for the OUTSIDE of your body.

McInflammation: Are You Really “Loving It”?

fries.jpgRecently a friend reported over dinner that his inflammatory problem (and let’s just say almost all medical problems are caused by inflammation) was not much better.

He said he was diligently taking everything I had recommended, and had only noted minor improvement.

Although natural remedies take time, I was curious how the dietary recommendations were going….you know, the most important part of his prescription? To no surprise, he was struggling to make the necessary changes.

As I climbed in to his car to head to our next destination I noted the eight bags of fast food littering his car floor.

“Well here is the source of McInflammation in your diet right here!” Read more

Recently quite a few readers have been asking me about natural home remedies for eczema and other general itchy skin problems.

The most common culprits of itchy skin are eczema, psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis.

Although this article is mainly about eczema, most of the tips will benefit all types of itchy skin as we “treat the cause” and “remove the obstacles to cure” in true nature cure fashion. Read more
